YOUTH LEADERSHIP ACADEMY

What is it about?

The purpose of the Youth Leadership Academy is to teach our youth and young adults the fundamentals and characteristics of good leadership from an Islamic perspective known as Ehsan. The program encompasses all aspects of life with lectures and hands-on learning, from individual, family and community values, to business, organizational, teamwork, and wellness education. The program will help the youth put in practice and embody the core values of Islamic excellence in their everyday life. The students will also learn from practical examples from the life of the Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) as the gold standard of what it means to be good person, parent, partner, stateman and more importantly a great leader. The program will help students be role models in their families, communities, and society at large.

Our Activities:

  • Lectures
  • Core Curriculum: Leadership
  • Life skills: finance, mechanic, electric, HVAC, maintenance, wellness, etc.
  • Hands-on Activities Food pantry operations.
  • Masjid maintenance, cleanup and renovations.
  • Cemetery visit and maintenance.
  • Community events.
  • Community services: homeless shelters, winter coat, environmental and neighborhood contributions.
  • Extra-Curricular: Game day: bowling, squash, basketball, cricket, kahoot, etc. Field trips: visit other Masjids, meaningful places.
