What is it about?

The purpose of the Youth Leadership Academy is to teach our youth and young adults the fundamentals and characteristics of good leadership from an Islamic perspective known as Ehsan. The program encompasses all aspects of life with lectures and hands-on learning, from individual, family and community values, to business, organizational, teamwork, and wellness education. The program will help the youth put in practice and embody the core values of Islamic excellence in their everyday life. The students will also learn from practical examples from the life of the Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) as the gold standard of what it means to be good person, parent, partner, stateman and more importantly a great leader. The program will help students be role models in their families, communities, and society at large.

Why is the program necessary?
In a world driven by wealth and extravagance, honesty and integrity have been replaced by new concepts such scams, Ponzi schemes, fake news. Decency has been stripped off its meaning, where relationships and interactions between men and women have been desacralized. Young people are constantly fed with abundances of various forms of entertainment. Mental health and substance abuse are skyrocketing. Social media and peer pressure have made the youth subject to unprecedent levels of stress and anxiety, leading to worsening mental health and suicide rates.
Do all of these things make you worry about yourself and your children? Well we all should.
The Prophet (Pbuh) said, on the Day of Resurrection, no one can take a step unless he answers the following questions:
First, for what did he live his life?
Second, how did he spend his youth?
These are the reasons why we need to help our youth and prepare them to confront these unprecedented moral and living challenges.
